Dr Chris King named ACSD Interim Superintendent

We are pleased to announce that, at its June 25, 2012 meeting, the Board of Education named Dr. Christopher King as interim superintendent, effective July 1, until a permanent chief is chosen later this year. Dr. King will replace former superintendent Jose Banda, who is leaving to serve as the next superintendent for Seattle Public Schools. Dr. King, 50, hails from Colorado with 26 years of experience in education, serving the last four years as superintendent of Boulder Valley School District. Dr. King is married to Kelley King, an educational consultant. He has two children, Connor, 18, and Roxy, 16.
